This big Mazatzal Mountain loop starting from Sheep Bridge uses the Willow Spring Trail, Mazatzal Divide Trail, Red Hills Trail, and Dutchman Grave Trail to traverse both saguaro cactus-studded desert and ponderosa pine-covered mountains. The Willow Fire burned much of the Mazatzal Mountains in June 2004. Expect eroded trails and deadfall at higher elevations.
