A loop hike in the Sonoran Desert. The Circumference Trail goes around Lookout Mountain. Start by going west (counterclockwise). The Summit Trail climbs to the top of Lookout Mountain, providing a 360-degree view of the Valley of the Sun. Although this park is in the heart of suburbia, it’s not unusual to see a coyote or some of the typical desert birds such as roadrunners and Gila woodpeckers.
