The La Barge-Boulder Canyon Loop traverses three forks of the spectacular La Barge and Boulder Canyon system in the western Superstition Mountains. The hike mixes on-trail and cross-country hiking and takes you past the most famous Superstition landmark, the twin spires of Weavers Needle. Do not attempt this hike during or immediately after a period of heavy rain because the canyons may be flooded and impassable. Water is scarce on this loop during dry periods. This hike is extremely hot and dangerously dry during the summer.
