This ride follows the northern extension of El Oso Road along the crest of the Mazatzal Mountains. You'll get stunning views clear across the Phoenix valley to the southwest and of the Sierra Ancha and the Mongollon Rim to the east and northeast. And the riding's fun, too! It's located about 50 miles northeast of Mesa. Tread: Doubletrack.

The trail has some amazing views! For the most part the trail was covered in snow or mud making for a good time. The 19 mile drive from 87 can be done in a car about 2hrs in, but is much better suited to a 4X4 or any truck that has good road clearance. Would recommend the trail be done a little later in the year when there isn't as much snow. This area is a popular ATV place.
