Sycamore Rim Loop

Sycamore Rim Loop Professional Review and Guide

"This well-constructed loop travels past Dow Springs and the remains of the settlement there before circumnavigating the stunning north rim of Sycamore Canyon. It then turns north, past a seasonal waterfall and year-round lily ponds, before turning east to climb up and over KA Hill, then south along the edge of Garland Prairie. There are several access points, so this can be hiked in segments if desired. This hike description covers the entire loop, going clockwise from Dow Springs Trailhead."

More Sycamore Rim Loop Professional Reviews and Guides

"This pleasant, 11.4-mile loop is a terrific way for you and your dog to enjoy the shady forests, rugged canyons, and natural, ephemeral pools tucked just above the lip of the Sycamore Canyon Wilderness Area.

Your route on Sycamore Rim Loop 45 is a clockwise tour starting from the Pomeroy trailhead. You begin on a comfortable, compacted forest floor, shaded by towering ponderosa pines, Gambel oaks, and alligator junipers— autumn is cool and lovely here."
