Catalina Ridge Trail Professional Review and Guide
"This relatively easy trail travels down a long, gently sloping ridge between Stratton Wash and Catalina Wash. Although a very small, formed trail, it is easygoing and suitable for high-clearance 2WD vehicles. It is entirely contained within state land, and a valid state land use permit is required.
Special Attractions: Rugged cliffs of Sombrero Butte; Historic Copper Creek Mining District; Remains of the Bunker Hill and other mines. High-clearance vehicles are preferred, but not necessary. This trail is dirt roads, but may have rocks, grades, water crossings, or ruts that make clearance a concern in a normal passenger vehicle. The trail is fairly wide, so that passing is possible at almost any point along the trail. Mud is not a concern under normal weather conditions."
