The Boulders

The Boulders Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"This hike climbs away from the traffic noise along the Pine Creek Loop before taking up the Ballantine Trail itself. The eventual destination is The Boulders, a sprawling garden of sculpted rocks and formations that are quite picturesque.

At the trailhead you are immediately faced with a choice of two routes to follow. Actually, these two trails are the two western ends of the Pine Creek Loop, and both continue for 1.5 miles east to where they meet and connect with the much longer Ballantine Trail. This hike description follows the right-hand or southern route in and returns by way of the northern leg of the loop."
