Providing an appropriate prelude for boaters heading down the Grand Canyon, Marble Canyon is itself a spectacular abyss worthy of investigation. For those on foot, one of the most interesting approaches is to hike down Soap Creek, which drains into the Colorado River a few miles downstream from the Marble Canyon Bridge.

An great hike down into the smaller section of the grand canyon. Did it with 10 guys and some had never been backpacking before. Only one hairy section, where you have to climb out on a ledge to reach a rope. Otherwise pretty standard climbing.
