Puerto Blanco Drive Professional Review and Guide
"This is the longer of the two backcountry drives entirely within Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument. It is a good graded, gravel road that winds around the Puerto Blanco Mountains before running along the international border with Mexico to finish in Lukeville. Although the loop is fairly well traveled in the cooler months, it is still a remote area, and you should take proper precautions for desert travel, including carrying plenty of water. Special Attractions: Organ pipe cactus and varied Sonoran desert scenery and vegetation; Easy drive contained within the Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument; Access to hiking trails within the monument; Large natural arch at Arch Canyon; Quiet picnic sites. This trail is graded dirt but suitable for a normal passenger vehicle. It usually has gentle grades, is fairly wide, and has very shallow water crossings (if any)."
