If we go back to the North Rim, it will be to do this trail again. One of the rangers pointed us to this trail as his favorite and we''re so thankful for the tip as the written description of the hike didn''t sound as good as the actual trail experience turned out to be. The trail starts you out wandering through the forest (which had aspens in full color for us). It''s a gorgeous hike. We were treated to a few vistas before the threat of lightening turned us back. Which was a shame, because much as we loved the part of the trail we did, we understand it gets more spectacular as you go.
