Widforss Trail Professional Review and Guide
"A hike along the North Rim of the Grand Canyon with good views. This is a good walk if you have limited time but still wish to escape the crowds. The well-maintained trail climbs along a slope, then skirts a drainage that soon opens out into the Transept, a side canyon. The trail continues along the rim with occasional views through the dense forest, and then crosses a shallow drainage at the head of the Transept. Shortly after this point, the trail veers away from the rim and continues to Widforss Point at the head of Haunted Canyon. Although the views are more limited than some of the famous viewpoints, the opportunity to enjoy the canyon without the noise and crowds makes this hike very rewarding."
