Cliff Springs Professional Review and Guide
"A short but fascinating walk travels below the rim of Walhalla Plateau. This trail is a fine, albeit brief, introduction to the plateau and rim environments of the North Rim. Distant views, a well-preserved Ancestral Puebloan granary, and a dripping spring hidden in an alcove beneath the rim offer rewarding diversions for visitors budgeting their time and energy. The brief stroll gets under way at the Angels Window overlook, which affords a fine view of that interesting natural opening in the Kaibab Formation on the east rim of Cape Royal. Carefully cross the busy roadway and follow the wide gravel trail west down a shallow draw through the open forest of ponderosa pine. After only 100 yards you reach the ruins of a well-preserved Ancestral Puebloan granary, hidden beneath a large Kaibab Formation boulder."
