An easy, short out-and-back hike leads to a remote North Rim viewpoint overlooking the Central Grand Canyon. The trail surface is unmaintained, but is fair to good condition. Although the driving distance to the Bill Hall trailhead is longer than any other in Grand Canyon National Park, the gravel roads are in very good condition. The 1.5-hour trip from the highway is an enjoyable scenic drive through the rich forests of the Kaibab Plateau.
