"A half-day, moderate day hike travels along the east rim of the Kaibab Plateau. The Ken Patrick Trail stretches 10.0 miles across the Kaibab Plateau from Point Imperial to the North Kaibab trailhead, surveying cool Canadian Zone forests throughout its length. Only the 3.0-mile segment between Point Imperial and Cape Royal Road follows the plateau rim. This trip is an excellent choice for a summer day hike when searing heat envelops the Inner Canyon. You need not hike the full 3.0 miles; the first 1.0 mile of trail affords the finest vistas."
