Though Pine Creek Loop and Ballantine Trail offer easy access to a scenic hike, relatively few people bother to explore these trails. Those who do visit this area enjoy stunning boulderstrewn canyons, views of mountains near Four Peaks, and some delightful seasonal springs.

Can't review it because the trail is closed -- and has been since Jan. 2009. Apparently there was too much illegal activity going on. People were being dumb @$!*% by disrespecting the land and the ranchers in the area that the state closed it down. One rancher told us there's another way to get to the narrows, but the route described in this book is a no go.
