Saguaro Lake Coves

Saguaro Lake Coves Professional Review and Guide

"Visit coves and scenic high points along the north shore of Saguaro Lake. (During our trip, we heard people talking about “The Beach,” apparently the granddaddy of all the beaches). After 3 days, we finally found it. Unfortunately, this particular beach is only reachable by hiking or by boat.

This little-known entry point is the shortest way to coves. Zigzag north and south to get over steep ridges between washes. Join boaters on sandy beaches. Pack a cooler and extra gas, no services are nearby."

Tried this area out with a friend with a 4WD, which I would say is required to do these trails, or at the very least a 2WD. There's a lot of sand in areas. The trails are generally easy with a few a bit more difficult but nothing really intense. The coves area is definitely beautiful. One problem with the area is it's easy to get lost!

Trail offers various levels of difficulty. Takes about 15-20 minutes from the entrance to the first cove if you don't get side tracked. Not very difficult to reach although 4WD is required. Do not try this trail with a low clearance car. Lots of exploring available and additional coves / beaches along the lake. Trail offers true Arizona scenery and who doesn't like to be by the water? Overall, very well worth it. This wallpaper will give you an idea of the area, http://hdwallsource.com/arizona-saguaro-lake-wallpaper-51683.html
