This trail wanders out onto Secret Mountain, an isolated mesa in the Red Rock–Secret Mountain Wilderness. It features a historic cabin and some good views of the canyons in the wilderness area. The trailhead is on the edge of the Mogollon Rim, but the view is mostly blocked by the bulk of Secret Mountain rising to the south. There is unlimited camping along the trail, so it makes a pleasant, easy overnight backpack trip if one is willing to carry water for a dry camp.
