The lofty branches of towering pines and aspens admit a fair amount of sunlight onto this remote trail from Pratt Canyon to Lookout Canyon. Once you have watered your dog and packed in some water for the trail, head northwest through the fence opening and onto the path. Provided your dog responds to voice control, you can let her walk off-leash here; the trail is open to cycling and horseback riding, so keep the leash handy as a courtesy to other trail users.
