Great switchback infested singletrack down the north facing, shaded, Mount Eldon. Dropping down from the ponderosa pine forests into the patches of aspen groves, this ride is truly pretty. Instinct leads me faster than I should be going, considering the steep dropoffs and loose cover on the trail. Be careful of a couple sand traps towards the end of the trail. From the end of the little bear trail, it's only a couple miles predominately uphill to shultz tank, and then hold on tight down shultz creek trail!

By far my favorite trail in the Sedona/Flagstaff area. I lived in Sedona for a few years and frequently rode just about every trail I could find - the Little Bear Loop has everything! I love to take the Rocky Ridge trail to the fireroad and climb that the rest of the way to the top of Elden, then cut across the Sunset Trail until you find the intersection for Little Bear, rip thru that to Schultz Creek and burn down one of the best singletracks in the area back to the beginning. Every time I go back to the area I make a point of riding this trail, it's simply awesome. Five stars doesn't do it justice.
