10 miles northwest of Flagstaff, west of the San Francisco Peaks. This is a relaxing, scenic cruise through pine forest and meadows with little elevation change. Your destination is a lava tube cave. This type of cavern forms when molten lave, flowing through an underground passage, subsides and leaves a long, tube-like cave.

This is definitely an indiana jones experience. Take two good flashlights and extra good hiking boots. The lava tube is narrow in spots and very jagged (watch your head). It is also very cold (32degrees to 40 degrees depending on your location in the tube. There are also some really good roads to bike ride on all around the tube site. The roads are good and very easy riding
