Coulter Hill Trail Professional Review and Guide
"This roughly graded, narrow dirt road travels between Mormon Lake and Lower Lake Mary. Much of the route passes through the Pinegrove Quiet Area, which is closed to vehicles from August to January to protect elk habitat and allow for non-motorized quiet recreation. The trails that lead into the quiet area are clearly marked. Special Attractions: Elk can often be seen in the area; Open area of Antelope Park; The mainly dry area of Mormon Lake. High-clearance vehicles are preferred, but not necessary. This trail is dirt roads, but may have rocks, grades, water crossings, or ruts that make clearance a concern in a normal passenger vehicle. The trail is fairly wide, so that passing is possible at almost any point along the trail. Mud is not a concern under normal weather conditions."
