Bull Basin - Pumpkin Trails Professional Review and Guide
"A rugged hike on less-used trails through beautiful alpine forest with excellent views of the Kendrick Peak Wilderness. This is a strenuous hike on steep trails with no water. Hikers planning an overnight trip will have to carry water or do the hike in late spring when there are still snowdrifts near the summit. The rewards are worth the effort. The trails are not shown on the topographic maps, except for the short segment of the Kendrick Peak Trail used by this loop. The alpine meadow and splendid sunset and sunrise views south are worth the effort of carrying overnight gear up here. Campfires are not recommended. Trees grow very slowly in the Arctic environment and should not be burned. Carry a backpacking stove to melt snow and cook meals."
