This easy and unpublicized hike goes around two small ponds on top of Anderson Mesa and is great for small children. The flat mesa top offers views of Lake Mary to the south and the San Francisco Peaks to the north. Part of the route follows the Arizona National Scenic Trail (AZT), a route stretching lengthwise more than 800 miles through the state from Utah to Mexico.
