Cockscomb Professional Reviews and Guides
"7 miles west of Sedona below the Mogollon Rim. This ride features scenic red rock views, a natural arch, and an ancient ruin. Easy loop with scenic views of the red rocks near Boynton Pass. Continue on the Boynton Pass Road (FR 152C) as it climbs southwest. Watch for heavy traffic on this maintained but somewhat rocky dirt road.0.4 Ride over Boynton Pass, and roll downhill through open meadows with great views to the southwest. Bear Mountain towers to the right, and the smaller mass of Doe Mountain is to your left. 2.6 Hang a left on FR 9152C, a rocky, rutted doubletrack that heads slightly downhill to the southeast. You’ll be heading toward the right side of the Cockscomb, theserrated red rocks to the right of flat-topped Doe Mountain."
