Palo Verde Trail 512 is an easy hike around the lake and through the desert, in the event that weather or boredom or crowds have dissuaded you from water activities. In addition to great views of the lake and surrounding countryside, there is a wide variety of desert flora, including a giant, two-headed saguaro, and fields of quartz. You can explore the Sonoran fjords, too. The trail also provides a pedestrian connection between Rattlesnake Cove and SB Cove on the lakeshore. OUTSTANDING FEATURES: Views of the lake, desert scenery, fishing access.
