A loop hike on a series of historic trails that connect several historic cabins south of the Mogollon Rim. The entire loop makes an enjoyable backpack trip, or you can do shorter segments as day hikes. Dane Canyon has a permanent stream and offers plentiful campsites on grassy meadows. A lush forest of Douglas fir and ponderosa pine covers the canyon walls, spiced by an occasional aspen, limber pine, or white fir.
