This easy trail runs along the eastern edge of the Plomosa Range, giving views across the Plomosa Mountains. The first couple of miles of the trail are smooth and wide enough that large RVs are able to traverse it. This aspect of the trail, and the many flat areas, make it a popular winter camping area for RVs, although there is a 14-day limit. There are many narrow trails and turnouts in the first few miles. Remain on the main trail. Special Attractions: Views of Four Peaks Mountain; Popular winter RV parking and camping area. High-clearance 4WDs are preferred, but any high-clearance vehicle is acceptable. Expect a rough road surface; mud and sand are possible but will be easily passable.
