For an extended hike into the heart of the Superstition Wilderness, the lengthy Dutchman’s Trail is not to be missed. Like the Peralta Trail, this well-established route offers some incredible views of the stunning Weavers Needle. Because the Dutchman’s Trail winds for 18-plus miles across the western third of the Superstition Range, it also offers a peek at a number of other impressive landmarks, some nice canyon walls, and some surprisingly verdant riparian communities. Add to this a number of connecting trails, and you have a wealth of memorable hike possibilities.
