Fourche Mountain Trail is a 27-mile network developed in 1992 by the Forest Service and the Arkansas Trail Riders Association. It uses a combination of gravel roads, abandoned double-track, and newly cut single-track, following four and a half scenic single-track miles along the Ouachita National Recreation Trail. These loops are somewhat difficult, with many stretches suitable only for experienced riders. This trail system is worth the effort it takes to ride it. These trails are located 30 miles west of Mt. Ida on US 270.
