Baker Creek begins in the Caney Creek Wilderness Area on Porter Mountain at an elevation of 1,600 feet and drops over 400 feet before combining with Harris Creek and emptying into the Cossatot River below AR 278. This is a very tough and technical run that should only be attempted by experienced paddlers who are completely comfortable with the Five Falls area of the Cossatot River. Make sure that you have good maps of the area before trying to take on the myriad roads that Weyerhaeuser is constantly cutting in the area.
