The Bear Hollow Trail is a 5.6-mile out-and-back hike that travels along the upper rim of Bear Hollow. Considered some of the best scenery in the park, the Bear Hollow Trail offers access to Sunrise Rock and Inspiration Point. Both are popular places for nature lovers to come sit and take in beautiful sunrises in the morning or enjoy the peaceful sounds of nature in the evening.
Topping out at 2,753 feet, Mt. Magazine has the distinction of being the highest point in the state of Arkansas. In the grand scheme of American mountains, Mt. Magazine may not seem like much of a challenge, but like much of the Ozarks, its beauty is in its nuances. Interesting geology, impressive displays of spring and summer wildflowers, and inspiring views of both the Ouachita Mountains and Ozarks Plateau make Mt. Magazine a nature-lover’s dream.
