Eagle Fork Creek, known locally as simply Eagle Fork, begins on the northeast slope of Little River Mountain northwest of Octavia, Oklahoma, and flows to the southeast approximately 20 miles to its confluence with the Mountain Fork River. Eagle Fork’s length is short, but it gets help from Cucumber Creek just above the put-in and Little Eagle Creek just below. Eagle Fork Creek is very remote and scenic along the section from OK 144 to Smithville. Paddlers can expect a class II–II+ stream protected by hardwoods and bluffs in the upper section. Several small waterfalls add to the excitement in this stretch.
