Pigeon Creek is a brand new trail system of six miles of interconnecting loops and spurs that utilize a combination of single-track, old logging roads, and ATV-width trails. Most of its trails are suitable for beginners. Experienced riders will enjoy the tight turns on narrow single-track and the challenging rid to the Pigeon Creek ATV trails. This beautiful network greets you with a stately pine grove next to the trailhead. From there you pedal next to shorelines, along the front of a lakeside bluff on a catwalk hanging off the cliff, and past an abandoned mine shaft. This trail is located 6 miles north of Mountain Home.

My trail experience could be biased. Due to the fact that I saw the trail for the first time when i was going as fast as my body could propel my bike, and it was soaked to the bone. I recently raced in the Pigeon Roast at the pigeon creek trail. I liked the trail overall. It offers a mixed bag of chalanges for the avid mountain cyclist. There are some steep inclines which make for some fast downhills. The downhills however are very technical, and filled with exposed bedrock formations which make for a dangerous combination when its wet. There are nice veiws of the lake as well, but I missed them while trying to catch the guy ahead of me. On the whole I liked the trail. Im sure you would love it for a casual trail ride, or an intense race scenario.
