Mossy Bluff - Buckeye Trail Professional Review and Guide
"This trail loops through the forest along bluffs overlooking the Little Red River. Greers Ferry Lake’s chief claim to fame, aside from its natural beauty, is that it was the site of President John F. Kennedy’s last dedication of a public project before his assassination. The Greers Ferry Dam was completed in 1962, and President Kennedy formally dedicated it on October 3, 1963."

This is a good little trail if you in the area. Its best to just go slow and look around. I wouldn't of even commented but read the other review complaining that its not spectacular enough. For this area it is one of best trails. Its part of several trails near the dam. One at Dam Site Park, another going along creek at the Hatchery.
My partner and I did this trail in about an hour-hour and a half. Not very challenging, but not very well marked. It interconnects with the paved road that leads back to the visitors center (definately stop in, very nice), so we got turned around. The overlook is nice, but for the most part, the trail isn't gonna jump out at you with alot of great photo ops or must-sees. Payoff at the overlook was of the dam, and it gave a good view of Greers Ferry, but all in all, just an ok walk in the woods. However, while you're in the area, swing by Heber Springs park for some cliff diving. Well worth the trip.
