This 20-mile loop is an excellent ride for beginners. It uses dirt and gravel roads, a portion of pavement on AR 123, and a fun stretch of narrow double-track on the descent from the south river road to Mt. Hersey ford. The only rough riding is on that descent, where this double-track through the forest bounces over rock ledges, through mudholes, and across gravel bars next to the river. Riders looking of more challenging riding can check out the many double-track roads leading off the main route. This trail is located 25 miles southeast of Harrison.
