Kyle’s Landing Professional Guide
Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook
"Kyle’s Landing is my favorite campground on the Buffalo National River. A low bluff overlooks Kyle’s, and a large pine grove in the downstream end of camp reminds me of the Rockies.
The campground’s rough, steep 3-mile entrance road keeps RVs and monster trailers away—in fact, a sign at the campground turnoff on AR 74 recommends that you have a high-clearance, four-wheel drive vehicle. I’ve made the trip numerous times in my front-wheel drive Mazda 626, though, so unless it has rained recently, you should have no problem in smaller vehicles. Level grassy areas make it seem like you’re camping in your backyard rather than in incredibly rugged and scenic parklands. The trails leading from Kyle’s are perfect avenues for exploring those towering hills and deep hollows."
