This loop trail circles around Lake Bennett through beautiful woodland scenery. The trail is well laid out and easy to follow. It winds up and down through a hilly forest where hardwood trees predominate. Dogwoods give the area a pretty pastel softness in spring, and sugar maples add color in fall. Abundant wildflower species include phlox, violets, dwarf iris, wild hyacinth, golden ragwort, and rue anemone. Special mention should be made of the crimson clover that blooms along AR 285 on the way to the park. May is the ideal month for visiting this area.
