Redding Recreation Area Professional Review and Guide
"For beauty and variety of outdoor activities, Redding Recreation Area can’t be beat. The Mulberry Wild and Scenic River rolls past this forested camp, waiting to swallow you and your canoe in its rapids. One of the prettiest sections of the Ozark Highlands Trail passes a few miles from Redding, and a spur from a trailhead just east of camp leads up to the trail. Hike up to the Spy Rock overlook and you’ll be treated to panoramic views of the Mulberry River Valley. If you continue along the Ozark Highlands Trail to Hare Mountain, you’ll be on the highest point along the whole trail, with vistas to match the altitude."

Located on the Banks of the Mulberry River. The campground has water and a shower house with hot water. Does not have electricity. Camp sites are big so individuals can set up several tents on their camp sites. Popular among the locals who swim in the Mulberry River as it has a large swimming hole at the camp ground and a launch for kayaks and canoes. No camp host therefore some individuals will abuse alcohol and become rowdy therefore, I like to camp there during the weekdays and leave the weekends to the party groups.
