Flagg Mountain Loop

Flagg Mountain Loop Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"Time has virtually stood still atop Flagg Mountain. It was here that the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) began work on another state park complete with stone fire tower and beautifully hand hewn log cabins.

Flagg Mountain has always been one of my favorite hiking destinations in the state, for many reasons. First, it’s just a beautiful walk in the woods with its hardwood forest blazing with color in the fall or maybe a light blanket of snow on the ground in the winter. Then there is its solitude. Not many people hike the mountain (of course, writing about it might change things). But most importantly I love it because of its
Civilian Conservation Corps history."
