This is a nice adventure trip through the marsh islands of the delta. Customize your route through the many inlets and islands. A wide variety of wildlife will be seen on this easy float through the second largest delta in the country. This course offers a placid, laid-back paddle. You can explore different branches of the area’s smaller rivers and bayous, with the wide Tensaw River never far away. The Mobile-Tensaw River Delta comprises more than 300,000 acres of wetlands. We’ll describe the route we took, but much of the fun in paddling this area is discovering and navigating the many short tributaries along the way. Remember: The delta is not for those who are not familiar with orienteering (using map and compass).

This was a beautiful quaint place to paddle. The water had a bad odor and due to the many house boats docked (for obvious long duration) I would not consider swimming or eating anything I caught.
