Highpoint rank by height: 35th. Cheaha (an Indian word meaning "high") State Park includes a restaurant, country store, museum, nature center, and a lake. Cabins and chalets are available for rent on a daily basis, or campground sites are available. As you turn onto the road leading to the entrance booth to the park, you may want to stop in the Country Store & Gift Shop to inquire about the hours for the CCC Museum (Civilian Conservation Corps) at the high point. The museum/observation tower was closed when we visited the high point, and the tower always closes at sunset.

Cheaha State Park is clean and the views are great. We didn't actually walk anywhere inside the park, but the trailheads are within the boundries and made it very convenient for day hiking. I thoughly enjoyed myself

Nice views and fun rock climbing. Not the best hike for childern. Also, most camp sites are not level so you end up sleeping "vertical" most of the night. All and al a fun weekend of backpacking and camping.
