Russian Lakes–Resurrection River Trail System Professional Review and Guide
"The trails linking Russian River, Cooper Lake, and the length of the Resurrection River traverse broad valleys linked by flat passes and make possible anything from an afternoon jaunt to a serious multiday backpacking trip. These routes offer big forests breaking to alpine meadows, cascading clear and glacial streams, fine lakes, brilliant wildflowers and berries in season, moose, and bears. Glaciated mountains are visible through the trees. Fishing can be excellent in the Russian River; check fishing regulations before casting. The trail to Lower Russian Lake or the Barber Cabin (6 or 7 miles round trip) is a nice 1-day or overnight trip for families and a pleasant mountain bike trip. This hike description includes the following trails: Lower Russian Lake, Upper Russian Lake Cooper Lake to Russian River trailhead and Resurrection River–Russian Lakes."
