The Magoun Islands lie in a beautiful remote area not very far from Starrigavan Campground or even from Sitka Harbor. Here you will enjoy a lot of small bays and islands that are well protected from most winds and seas. There is an opportunity to see a variety of waterfowl. Sitka black-tailed deer are abundant as are mink and river otter. If you are lucky you may see a brown bear or two.
