"Trails suitable for all hiking abilities, with routes traveling through forests, by muskegs and a lake. A favorite among Sitka locals, the Beaver Lake and Herring Cove Trail is a maintained, accessible route traveling through stunted forests, beautiful muskegs, and along marshes with waterfalls and gorgeous views of Bear Mountain.

These trails provide a variety of options. An out-and-back from either trailhead, including opportunity to hike around Beaver Lake, or a through-hike option from one trailhead to the other."
