Extremely beautiful views once you get up to the lake. Did the traverse with a friend starting on the Primrose side. Did not think it was a very difficult hike. Took just under 5 hours to complete the traverse. Definitely recommend backpacking in and camping at the lake and then taking the time to further explore the area. Great trail to run (yes, lots of people run it and there is a race on the trail in late August) and plenty of mountain bikers. Great hike for dogs as there is lots of room for dogs to run once get up to the lake.
