Bartlett Cove Professional Review and Guide
"Even though Bartlett Cove is the location of park headquarters, the lodge, and a boat mooring area, it is also a popular place for kayaking day trips. The cove generally offers protected paddling and opportunities to see humpback whales. It is also home to a variety of waterfowl. Occasionally black bears and moose are seen along the shore or even in the campground. Tidal currents are only significant at the head of the cove and these are easily avoided. Tide range in the bay however can be in excess of 20 feet, so when you haul out besure your kayak is well up on the shore."
