Rendezvous Peak is a perfect first summit. It’s short enough for kids, and adults will enjoy the pleasant, uncomplicated climb. There are spectacular views of Denali (Mount McKinley), Mount Foraker, Mount Susitna, Cook Inlet, Turnagain and Knik Arms, Anchorage, and the valleys of Ship Creek and the South Fork of Eagle River. In winter, when snow conditions are good, the trip to the pass is fun on cross-country skis.
