Mount Healy Trail

Mount Healy Trail Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"A trail winding through forest and climbing into subalpine with access to ridgetop hiking, and potential views of Denali. The hike up Mount Healy, the ridge overlooking the entrance to Denali National Park, provides access to ridgeline hiking on one of the steepest designated hiking trails near the border of the national park. At the overlook, hikers are rewarded with sweeping panoramic views of the Alaska Range, the Yanert River Valley to the east, and the entrance area in the valley below.

Hikers use the Mount Healy Overlook Trail as an accessible path to ridgeline hiking, with endless options at the top for experienced adventurers. The overlook is exposed, and typically windy, so bring appropriate gear, even if it’s warm at the trailhead."
