Eagle Summit is located at the eastern trailhead of the Pinnell Mountain Trail two hours northeast of Fairbanks. The summit is known locally as a hot spot to view the midnight sun. A short 0.4-mile interpretive trail leads through the region’s high country to sun-viewing decks, just a drop below the Arctic Circle. On your way stroll by two billion-year-old rocks, thousand-year-old lichen, and beautiful annual wildflower blooms.
