A popular trail for hearty families with spectacular views of the Knik Arm, Denali, and peaks in Chugach State Park. This trail is popular, and for good reasons. The access from Eagle River is tough to match. The route used to be on private property, until the Municipality of Anchorage purchased the first section of trail (less than a mile), with Chugach State Park owned land beyond.
